Jasper’s Hopes For RAH

Venue operatives will hear how a building that’s been open for more than 140 years can still manage to keep pace with the demands of a 21st-century audience when Jasper Hope presents a keynote address at Auditoriums Meet in Dublin Nov. 3.

The London Royal Albert Hall chief ops officer will share his experiences with others from the venue business at Dublin’s Gibson Hotel.

Hope, formerly a senior director at U.S. concert and event promoter AEG Live, oversees 350 shows each year covering a range of events including shows by such acts as Yehudi Menuhin, José Carreras, Jamie Oliver, and Jools Holland, plus the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, the Kenwood picnic concerts, the annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert and the Hampton Court Palace Festival.

Auditoriums Meet, which runs Nov. 3- 6, is an annual gathering for venue operatives.

This year it will combine a packed conference programme with unique site tours of Dublin venues including the award-winning O2 and the new Grand Canal Theatre.
