A Hard Day’s Night

Paul McCartney’s wedding party seems to have been such a raucous affair that neighbours were moved to complain about the noise.

The former Beatle, who was marrying for the third time, held the bash at his north London home.

“A complaint was received about an address in St. John’s Wood. Officers visited and the volume was reduced on request,” said Andrew Ralph, head of noise and licensing at Westminster City Council. “No further action is being taken.”

Council officers visited the property at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday after the local authority received at least one noise complaint.

Hours earlier, McCartney tied the knot with New York heiress Nancy Shevell at Westminster Register Office.

The wedding party entertainment reportedly included a DJ set by Mark Ronson, who apparently played a series of Beatles songs as well as more modern hits.

The guest list included Twiggy, Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, artist Sam Taylor-Wood and her partner Aaron Johnson, who played John Lennon in her film “Nowhere Boy.”
