It will be known as the as the Capital FM Arena Nottingham.
Trent FM, which has had a naming rights deal with the venue since April 2008, was one of the stations that was axed and absorbed into Global’s Capital network.
All Global’s Capital stations will ID as “The UK’s No. 1 Hit Music Station.”
Having acquired Chrysalis Radio in 2007 and GCap Media in 2008, Global is the UK’s largest commercial radio company. Its major shareholders include Irish racehorse owners John Magnier, JP McManus and Michael Tabor.
Arena chief exec Geoff Huckstep says the venue’s delighted to continue its relationship with Global, particularly at a time when it’s reporting record-breaking ticket sales.
