IOW Site Worth £280
The 55,000-capacity Isle Of Wight Festival site is worth £280, according to the valuation on a new “Monopoly” board game based on various properties on the tiny island.
The home of one of the festivals on the shortlist for the UK Festival Awards is near the top end of the market, although it’s still some way short of the £400 being asked for Osborne House – which was often used as a summer residence by Queen Victoria.
The Isle of Wight version of the popular board game features many of the island’s iconic places and businesses, including Cowes Marina and the Hovertravel terminal (both at £200) and The Needles (£100).
The lowest-ranking site, the equivalent of the Old Kent Road on the original monopoly board, is Military Road at £60.
