Park’s Hype Nation

Jay Park, the disgraced leader of the Korean boy band 2PM, is set to make a big comeback, but not in South Korea.

Park, who is Korean-American and living in his hometown of Seattle, is reportedly working with R&B producer Terry Riley on his debut solo album.

Park was forced to leave 2PM last year when remarks he made several years ago as a teen trainee on his MySpace page came to light. In the remarks, he disparaged his training and put down Korean pop music in general.

Since returning to Seattle, he has resurfaced as part of the Art of Movement B-Boy Crew and released some covers on YouTube.com, including a version of B.O.B.’s “Nothing On You” that has been viewed 4 million times since it came out in March.

AllHipHop.com reports that so far Park has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Daz, T-Pain and Krazie Bone on the Riley-produced album.

He will also star in a movie called “Hype Nation” about breakdancers from Asia.

As 70 percent of the film will be filmed in Korea, it will mean Park will have to return to the country where he first shot to fame.
