It’s A Pity, But No Truth To Fiddy Rumor

The explosive news that 50 Cent has been offered a whopping $100 million to join the Live Nation fold is not that explosive, according to Live Nation.

“According to an EXTREMELY well placed source, 50 has been offered a $100 MILLION deal with Live Nation,” MediaTakeOut.com reported April 27. “The deal, which MediaTakeOut.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned of, would cover 50s touring and 5 albums.

“And it gets better. MediaTakeOut.com’s insider claims that Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter has been ‘instrumental’ in putting together this deal with 50.”

This may be great news to MediaTakeOut, but it doesn’t appear to be true.

“We have not offered 50 Cent a deal to join Live Nation Artists, nor are we in discussions with the artist,” Live Nation spokesman John Vlautin told Pollstar.

The last time Vlautin issued such a statement to Pollstar, it was in regards to an online rumor in February that Janet Jackson was about to sign a 360 deal with the promotion company.

“Contrary to Internet reports, Live Nation has not signed Janet Jackson to any deal and is not currently in discussions with the artist,” Vlautin said at the time.
