Blossom Land For Sale

The Musical Arts Association in Cleveland, which owns the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, wants to sell off as much as 600 acres of the property, but the preferred buyer may not have the funds.

The 21,500-capacity Blossom Music Center, which is run by Live Nation and promoted by Michael Belkin and his staff, is situated near Cuyahoga Valley National Park. However, the 33,000-acre federal park does not have the money to buy the land at fair market value, according to the Beacon Journal.

Park officials fear the land could be sold to private developers and park superintendent John Debo told the paper that keeping the land from being developed is "a highest priority."

The Musical Arts Association determined it needs only 200 acres at Blossom. The association and the park have been in informal discussions about the deal for the past 18 months, Debo told the Journal.
