Woodruff Awarded

Publisher and music manager John Woodruff received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ARIA Hall of Fame event July 18 at Melbourne’s Plaza Regent Theatre.

Woodruff managed The Angels, Diesel and Baby Animals, discovered Savage Garden, which sold 22 million albums, helped set up the Dirty Pool Agency and the Australian chapter of Music Managers Forum . He’s recently been involved in the careers of Evermore, Butterfly Effect and Small Mercies.

Hoodoo Gurus, Boston-born R&B diva Marcia Hines, crooner Frank Ifield, onetime Flying Burrito Brother Brian Cadd, Radio Birdman and R&B band Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons were inducted.
