T.I. Cancels Japan Tour

Atlanta-based rapper T.I. canceled a tour of Japan after being accused of failing to perform community service in Florida following a 2003 arrest.

The arrest warrant landed him briefly in jail May 10th, just days after he spoke at the funeral of a friend who was killed in a gun battle.

The rapper was scheduled to leave May 14th for a 10-day tour in the country to promote his new album, King, a representative said.

T.I, whose real name is Clifford Harris, pleaded guilty last year to battery on a law enforcement officer, trespassing and disorderly conduct in a 2003 incident in Tampa. He was sentenced to 75 hours of community service and 18 months probation.

Another 150 hours was added by a Florida judge months later after T.I. admitted violating his probation by driving with a suspended license.
