Rolling Rock Relocates

Pittsburgh’s Rolling Rock Town Fair will roll into Jennerstown Speedway August 6th instead of its previous home at Westmoreland Fairgrounds.

The new location is about 20 minutes from Latrobe Brewing Co., where Rolling Rock Beer is brewed.

Festival officials haven’t revealed who will appear at this year’s alt rock event, but said the lineup, ticket prices and on-sale date will be announced shortly.

Latrobe Brewing has moved the festival before. It started at Westmoreland Fairgrounds in 2000. Two years later, the event was moved to Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, to tie in with Rolling Rock’s sponsorship deal with the stadium. The event returned to the fairgrounds in 2004.

Last year’s festival featured 13 bands, including Staind, Disturbed, and Velvet Revolver, and drew 27,000 concert-goers.
