Elevation Festivals Announces Partnership With MedWish International To Support Ukrainian Relief

Elevation Festivals is partnering with MedWish to help support Ukraine

Elevation Festivals, the company that owns and produces WonderStruck In Cleveland, The WonderBus Music & Arts Festival in Columbus, and WonderRoad Indianapolis, is partnering with MedWish International to support relief in Ukraine.

Over the course of the next 30 days, the Elevation Group will be promoting three initiatives to help the war-torn country in its time of need. The first initiative sees an immediate cash donation of $10,000 that will cover the cost of shipping for more than 20,000 lbs of supplies to Ukraine. 

Two complimentary, single-day GA tickets for any one of Elevation’s three music festivals will be provided in exchange for a verified donation to MedWish valued at $175 or higher. The tickets will be available only to the first 500 donors before April 15. 

For those purchasing tickets to any of Elevations tickets within the next 30 days, $25 will be donated to MedWish. Fans participating in the second or third initiatives will receive a $25 gift certificate for “official festival” merchandise. 

“Live music events have had a long history of doing the right thing and supporting people in a time of crisis, Denny Young, President of Elevation, said in a statement. “We wanted to do our best to support the innocent people of Ukraine and invite others in our industry (and beyond) to step forward and help these people now.” 

WonderRoad Indianapolis will be taking place from June 11-12, with WonderStruck in Cleveland occurring July 9-10 and WonderBus Music & Arts Festival Columbushappening Aug. 26-28. Elevation Festivals is setting a goal of raising $100,000 for Ukraine during this 30-day initiative. 

MedWish International is a non-profit organization that repurposes discarded medical supplies and equipment to provide humanitarian aid. The organization was first founded in 1993, and serves 114 countries. In addition to helping humans, the organization repurposes items to help animals and neighborhoods. 

“We are so very grateful for Elevation’s support of our Ukrainian relief efforts,” Allison Busser, Director of Development at MedWish, said in a statement. “Any music festival goer can make an immediate and positive impact on the crisis in Ukraine. MedWish has had extensive experience in providing international humanitarian aid and we are willing and able to use our strengths as an organization to provide aid to individuals and organizations impacted by the crisis in Ukraine.”

Vampire Weekend will be headlining both WonderStruck In Cleveland and WonderRoad Indianapolis this year, while the Lumineers will be headlining both WonderStruck In Cleveland and WonderBus. Duran Duran and Lorde are the two other headliners for WonderBus, while Lord Huron will serve as the second headliner for WonderRoad Indianapolis.

In addition to headlining WonderuBus, Duran Duran announced they would be heading out on their long-awaited North American headlining tour starting on Aug. 19 at Treasure Island Amphitheater in Welch, Minn. Michael Franti, who will be performing at WonderStruck in Cleveland, also announced a tour this week that will kick off at the Beach Life Music Festival in Redondo Beach, Calif. on May 14. 

Elevation Festivals is headed by Denny Young and partner Steve Lindecke, both former IMG executives based in Cleveland.
