With more live shows hitting the road, Move Concerts is expanding its team in Brazil. The company – which is the biggest independent concert promoter in Latin America with offices in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru and Puerto Rico – started off April by announcing hirings in its marketing and finance departments.

Igor Ismail has joined Move Concerts as assistant to Karen Pedroso, the company’s longtime marketing director. A press release from Move notes that Ismail is a graduate of On Stage Lab, Brazil’s only certified study program for the live music business.

Rodrigo Moura has been hired as Move Concerts’ finance manager. Before coming onboard, he worked at branding company Dream Factory.

“Move Concerts Brazil is very excited with the new hires [and] many new plans for the future of our company,” Karen Pedroso told Pollstar.

“With our new team in place we are now focused on bringing the best experience in entertainment to our country. Our Move Concerts Brazil team is looking forward to the numerous shows that were confirmed before the pandemic started, with artists we truly love and believe in.”

Move Concerts kicks off its 2022 concert series in Brazil in May with the The Driver Era. Other upcoming concerts include performances by Louis Tomlinson, A-HA, and Michael Bublé, among others.

Grand Move Records also has news, with the hire of Paz Faga as marketing director. Before joining the label she worked at Warner Records Argentina. The independent record company Grand Move Records was formed by Move Concerts principals Phil Rodriguez, Sebastian Carlomagno with Tiago PZK.

Alejandro Pobón, Partner at MOVE Concerts Puerto Rico, recently spoke to Pollstar about the success of the Puerto Rico market, including the promoter working with Bad Bunny on two sold-out stadium shows that moved 80,000 tickets.
