Chicago’s Summer Smash To Feature Kid Cudi, Future And Playboi Carti

Kid Cudi, Future and Playboi Carti will headline the three days of Chicago-area hip-hop festival Summer Smash, scheduled for June 23-25 at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois, southwest of the Windy City proper. It’s the first time in the MLS venue for the fest.

The festival is produced by Lyrical Lemonade, a media company founded by video director Cole Bennett.

Similar to Rolling Loud, each day also promises a big-name special guest. At Summer Smash, it’ll be $uicideboy$ on Friday and Lil Uzi Vert on Saturday. Sunday’s special guest is billed merely as “A Very Special Chicago Guest.” Let the speculation begin: Ye? Chance? Buddy Guy?

Ahead of Cudi’s headlining spot, Friday will also feature performances from Ice Spice and Glorilla. Saturday, Juicy J and Cordae are among those leading into Future’s night-ender. On Sunday, the undercard for Carti includes Lil B and Rico Nasty.
