Luke Combs Sets Nissan Stadium Attendance Record With 95,000

The Luke Combs World Tour is selling out and setting records. The country superstar broke Nissan Stadium’s two-day and single-day concert attendance records April 14-15 with attendance of more than 95,000. 

The two-day record comes as Combs added a surprise second show on Friday, April 14, which was announced only one week in advance. 

In recent years, Nissan Stadium, which is home to the NFL Tennessee Titans, has hosted major tours including Beyoncé, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Elton John, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift to name a few.

“Nissan Stadium is ‘Nashville’s Biggest Stage’ and we are so excited to kick off the summer with a record number of stadium hosted events,” said Ashlee Stokely, Tennessee Titans vice president of Stadium Events & Experiences. “We are so lucky to have had Luke Combs start us off with two huge nights and record-breaking attendance. When you put it all together: Luke Combs, the start of warm weather season and clear skies, there is not a better way to spend a weekend in Music City. This tour really set the tone for what will be an amazing season of entertainment at the stadium!”

Reflecting on the shows, Combs shared via a press release, “Music City. Man, when I moved here, I just wanted an opportunity to be around music in any capacity, so I never could have dreamed of a weekend like this especially with a last-minute notice of the Friday show to the fans but they showed up – just like they always do. Nashville, thank you. I’m glad to call this home.”

With 40 shows (38 sold out) across 3 continents and 16 countries, the record-breaking run went on sale in September 2022. The global trek continues this Saturday with a sold-out show at Ford Field in Detroit with additional sold-out shows coming up at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh (April 29), Soldier Field in Chicago (May 6), U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis (May 13) and Albertsons Stadium in Boise Idaho (May 20) before dates in Vancouver and Edmonton Canada.

International stops include Australia, New Zealand, U.K., Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, France and Belgium.

Guest on various tour dates include Cody Johnson, Lane Pittman, Riley Green, Lainey Wilson, Flatland Cavalry and Brent Cobb.

The tour is a celebration of Combs’ new album, Gettin’ Old, which was released last month via River House Artists/Columbia Nashville. Produced by Combs, Chip Matthews and Jonathan Singleton, Gettin’ Old is Combs’ fourth full-length album and follow up to 2022’s Growin’ Up. 

Combs, who is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and the winner of numerous awards including the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, has partnered with the Opry Entertainment Group to open a massive multi-level entertainment complex in downtown Nashville, which is expected to open summer 2024.
