DJ Cassidy Announces Special Guests For ‘Pass The Mic Live!’ Vegas Residency

DJ Cassidy is bringing his popular “Pass The Mic Live!” show to Las Vegas this summer and announced a star-studded list of special guests joining him for the occasion. The DJ hailing from New York will be bringing hip-hop icons Public Enemy, Akon, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Too $hort and Warren G to his Las Vegas resiency this July at Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

The residency stars Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh and will take place July 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20. The event is presented by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment and produced in conjunction with Steve Rifkind, founder of Loud and SRC Records. Tickets are now on sale at ticketmaster.com.

Cassidy said in a release that the shows will be an event “The Strip hasn’t seen since the days of The Sands and The International.”

“Just as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop united in Las Vegas to form the Rat Pack, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh and I will unite to create an experience that will go down in Vegas history,” Cassidy added. “The members of the Rat Pack united as five solo superstars to create a groundbreaking ensemble that could only be witnessed on The Strip, and to this day, the Rat Pack remains the most iconic show in Vegas history. Ja Rule has coined us ‘The Rap Pack,’ and it couldn’t be more fitting. Now, we welcome special nightly guests, each one a cultural icon, so that after you’ve joined us once, you may just need to join us again.”

“Pass The Mic” was born amid the pandemic in 2020 with three homegrown viral episodes and BET television specials. Cassidy has worked with more than 200 stars in the past four years, including legends Earth, Wind & Fire, Nile Rodgers, Chaka Khan, Charlie Wilson, Hall & Oates, Missy Elliott and Gladys Knight.

Cassidy, who is repped by WME, had a successful showing at Radio City Music Hall in New York last summer. He sold out the venue and grossed $895,140 off 5,561 tickets on July 21, according to reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice.
