Weezer To Wrap Blue Album Anniversary Tour At Acrisure Arena

Weezer is going to turn the desert blue.

The pop-punk pioneers have added a finale to their tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1994 self-title debut commonly called ‘The Blue Album,” though officially it is Weezer. The last show of the tour, which sets off in St. Paul in September, will be at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, October 12.

The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr are out in support on the Live Nation-produced “Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour.”

Presale for recipients of the Weezer mailing list begins June 26 at noon Pacific. Other presales will run through the week ahead of the general on-sale June 28 at 10 a.m. Pacific. Tickets can be purchased on the band’s website HERE or AcrisureArena.com.

Weezer’s amphitheater tour last summer wrapped with a 8,267 ticket sellout at Sycuan Stage at Gallagher Square in San Diego, grossing $469,460.
