The Lawrence Arms’ tour is something of a family affair, since openers The Falcon and Sundowner both include members of the band.

With their typical sense of humor, TLA members have described the upcoming trek in posts on the band’s web site as “the Taco Bell menu tour – where the same three crappy ingredients are put together slightly differently to make every item on said menu,” “The 8th Annual Unbelievable Self-Indulgence Fest” and “The Warped Tour, since we’ll all be shifting around to play diffferent instruments, in different styles for each different band (except amsteel, who are bringing their own dudes), warping our line up if you will.”

The Falcon features TLA members Brendan Kelly and Neil Hennessy, along with Alkaline Trio‘s Dan Andriano and former Rise Against guitarist Todd Money.

On the fall tour, Smoking Popes guitarist Eli Caterer will be filling in for Andriano, who according to TLA’s web site just acquired “a healthy white baby, [who] is very cute, but she’s making it impossible for him to do much besides move across the country, write a record with his other band and hang around with his family in their home eating kobe beef hotdogs like some kind of family of Japanese emperors at a baseball game.”

Sundowner is an acoustic side project of TLA’s Chris McCaughan which includes Hennessy and Sanawon’s Jenny Choi. The group released its first album, Four One Five Two, in March.
