The Very Wet & The Very Dry
There will be no booze for Crue Fest in Toronto tonight, and damage due to flooding has forced Martina McBride to cancel tonight’s performance in Alabama.
Motley Crue’s dry performance at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre is due to a 15-hour suspension of the venue’s liquor license by Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission which cited “infractions taking place during the 2007 concert season,” according to promoter Live Nation. The actual suspension began at 11:00 a.m. this morning (Eastern Daylight Time) and runs until 2:00 a.m. tomorrow.
Live Nation has also canceled tonight’s Martina McBride concert at the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Pelham, Alabama. Damage at the venue resulting from flooding following recent rainstorms is the reason cited. Ticketholders should contact Ticketmaster for refunds.
