Nico Vega Unveils Winter Tour
Los Angeles-based trio Nico Vega has announced a winter trek to build anticipation during the run up to the release of its eponymous debut.
The band and openers Semi Precious Weapons and Von Iva will launch the first leg Jan. 13 at Burt’s Tiki Lounge in Albuquerque and end Feb. 3, the day its album hits the streets, at TT The Bear’s in Cambridge, Mass.

In between, Nico Vega will drop in at places including Fitzgerald’s in Houston (Jan. 16), Emo’s in Austin (Jan. 18), Floyd’s Music Store in Tallahassee, Fla. (Jan. 23), Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta (Jan. 28), HighLine Ballroom in New York City (Jan. 31) and The Khyber in Philadelphia (Feb. 1).
A second round of dates with the Von Bondies will be announced in the coming weeks.
Nico Vega’s upcoming full-length is the follow-up to the 2007 EP No Child Left Behind. The album, coming out on MySpace Records, was produced by Linda Perry (Pink, Courtney Love, Gwen Stefani) and Tim Edgar (Earl Greyhound).
