Sundance’s Musical Lineup

For those heading to Park City, Utah, for the Sundance Film Festival, there’s gonna be plenty of music.

Sundance has traditionally included an ASCAP-sponsored music room, which has been renamed the Sundance ASCAP Music Café. It will include four artists per day, spanning the Jan. 16-23 event. And, no, it’s not Park City’s favorite local bands.

Artists include the Gin Blossoms, Chad & Jeremy, John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls, Rachael Yamagata, Wynonna, Damien Rice, Phil Vassar, Sara Watkins and Lenka.
The café is open to festival credential holders. Performances begin each day at 2 p.m.

Sundance also includes a Jan. 22 symposium on the history of the U.S. that will include some TBA musical performances. Who else but historian Howard Zinn will narrate the gathering, and there will be readings by Josh Brolin, Woody Harrelson and Marisa Tomei, among others.
