Live Nation Declares ‘National Concert Day’

Live Nation designates May 5 as “National Concert Day” – a day to celebrate live music.  Along with promoting its tours, the mega-promoter will a concert and media event in New York City featuring Kid Rock, Florida Georgia Line and other stars.

Along with recognizing fans, Live Nation said the first ever National Concert Day will salute “live music industry leaders, tour managers and their teams as well as all the hard working employees at venues across the country.”

The Concert and Media extravaganza – – takes place at Irving Plaza. The event will also feature appearances by Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, Brandon Boyd & Mike Einziger of Incubus, Jason Wade & Bryce Soderberg of Lifehouse, Kip Moore, Metric, Mick Jones of Foreigner, Rae Sremmurd, Tinashe, and Wiz Khalifa.  Hosting the event will be Hoda Kotb of NBC’s “Today.”
