North Carolina has caused quite an uproar with its House Bill 2, which strips away rights and legal protection for the LGBT community. Many artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam have chosen to cancel shows in the state, while  decided to play its show while the transgendered lead singer set fire to her birth certificate on stage. Others have opted to donate profits from their performances to organizations fighting the legislature.

The Lumineers are in the latter group.

“We encourage a full repeal of this law. As the Cleopatra World Tour makes its stop in N.C. during such a controversial time, we think it is important to invest in the people and organizations that will make the state a better place,” a statement from the bad reads. The band will donate all of the profits, including sales from a specialty T-shirt, to EqualityNC and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). The two nonprofits will be on site at the show collecting donations and handing out information.

Gender-neutral bathrooms will also be provided at the amphitheatre during the gig.
