– Miami Beach Pop
Miami Beach Pop Festivals organizers have announced the daily lineups for its inaugural event, featuring performances by Chance the Rapper, Jack Johnson, Daddy Yankee, Kygo, Juanes, Maggie Rogers, The Raconteurs, Nile Rodgers and Chic, The Roots, Leon Bridges and more.
The Nov. 8-10 festival takes place on the shore of South Beach between 5th and 10th Streets, adjacent to the beachfront Lummus Park and the iconic Ocean Drive.
Each day has been programmed to reflect the event’s diversity. The festival launches Friday, Nov. 8 with a special opening ceremony and also features a headline set from Jack Johnson, marking his only scheduled North American performance of 2019. Saturday, Nov. 9 will feature Daddy Yankee in a rare festival appearance, along with the eagerly anticipated Sol Jam with Nile Rodgers and very special guests. produced by longtime Bonnaroo Superjam producer and Miami Beach Pop Co-Founder Paul Peck. Chance the Rapper headlines Sunday’s set.
Said festival co-founder Peck, “Our intention is to create the most culturally diverse festival that the world has ever seen. In this time of increased division, it’s essential to remember that what unites us as humans far outweighs anything that could ever divide us. Miami Beach Pop is a celebration of diversity and connection, and there could be no better setting than this beautiful city that exemplifies vibrant culture. This Festival is an important reminder of all that we share as humans – those wonderful moments in life that inspire and connect us all. We may speak different languages, but we all move to the same rhythms and share the same spirit.”
In addition, Miami Beach Pop is offering special presale ticket deals via artist websites, the first major music festival to do so. These presales (see Jack Johnson site here) give all participating artists’ fans the opportunity to purchase single-day tickets before the general public. Individual artists are supporting the initiative through social media and targeted e-mail blasts. The single-day artist presales began Monday and run through Thursday, Aug. 8 at 10 p.m. EST.
An American Express card member presale is also ongoing through Thursday at 10 p.m. Single-day tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Aug. 9th at 10 a.m. EST. 3-Day General Admission and 3-Day VIP tickets are on sale now.
