There’s no road map for the role of an agent, which Lara Christie names as the biggest challenge of her job and something she finds “both exciting and terrifying. It’s incredible that the goal is to change the status quo and that I’m allowed (and encouraged) to dream big as to what our clients can accomplish. But, those client dreams only become a reality through teamwork.”

She adds that her three bosses at WME – Cindy Agi, John Marx and Sara Newkirk Simon – are all “incredible mentors. I throw the word team around a lot, but I truly feel as though everything I have learned in the music business has happened through osmosis from the people I work with, both internally and externally.”  Christie has worked with artists including Dean Lewis, Epik High, Kim Petras, 88 Rising, Lizzo, Oh Wonder, Perta, Steven Tyler, and Lido. 

“Building Kim Petras’ career from the ground up with her and the whole team over the past two years has been incredible.” Other notable accomplishments include helping British singersongwriter SG Lewis become IMG Models’ latest signing.
