The Armory Minneapolis Gets Live Nation Booking Boost

Pink plays the Armory in Minneapolis
The recently reopened, 9,500-capacity the Armory in Minneapolis has tapped Live Nation for “booking and programming support,” according to an announcement.
While the venue will be open to all promoters, the announcement says Live Nation will bring the Twin Cities even more incredible shows with its “vast array of touring artists.”
“The Twin Cities has been lacking a great mid-size hall and the Armory fills that gap perfectly,” said Jason Wright, president of Live Nation Midwest. “With sight lines and amenities that are unmatched in the Midwest, music fans will marvel when they see a show in this space.”
The venue reopened in December after an extensive renovation that includes a scalable floor plan to accommodate various-sized events. In February the venue hosted “Nomadic Live”-branded pre-Super Bowl shows featuring Pink, Jennifer Lopez and Imagine Dragons Feb. 1-3.
Those are not to be confused with the “Club Nomadic” shows that were to take place in a pop-up venue but were moved to nearby Mystic Lake casino.
The Armory’s first show after reopening, Dec. 31 with Above & Beyond, was reported to Pollstar as sold out, with 6,637 tickets sold and $318,190 grossed.
Upcoming shows at the Armory include Slayer, Dropkick Murphys/Flogging Molly, Greta Van Fleet, all of which are already sold out, and many others.
