A Texas A&M student’s dream came true last week when he got to gig with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band during one of The Boss’ Philadelphia shows.

Signage plays an important role in Springsteen & The E Street Band’s shows with fans creating messages asking for their favorite songs. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member gathers the signs midway through his concerts and picks out which requests to honor.
But business administration major Matthew Aucoin’s sign asked for more than just a tune during Springsteen’s concert at Citizens Bank Park Sept. 9, according to TV station KBTX. The 19-year-old sophomore’s message read, “Can a college kid play ‘No Surrender’ with you?”
Sure enough, Springsteen noticed the sign and invited Aucoin up on stage where he was given a guitar and a spot next to his hero. And yes, there’s video.
